3309 West Silver Lake Road,
Our first priority is helping you take care of yourself and your family. We want to learn more about your personal situation, identify your dreams and goals, and understand your tolerance for risk. Long-term relationships that encourage open and honest communication have been the cornerstone of my foundation of success.
We at Holvick & Associates love working with individuals and businesses in the community to spread joy during the Holidays. This year we were honored to partner with Team Phoebe and donate to a locate oncology hospital. Here is a thank you letter we received.
Dear Holvick & Associates,
I have written this “thank you” a million times in my mind. However, I find myself in the act of writing out my gratitude on the eve of Phoebe‘s cancer-versary. Eight years to the day we were told “I’m sorry, your daughter has cancer”. A day no parent can erase from their minds eye. While raw, dark, and still unbelievable, I find this pain greatly diminished by the love and light of those that surround our family. And this light gets brighter every single year. What your generosity and kindness displayed, was far more than the act of giving. It was providing families with hope, a sense of not being alone, and the greatest, a sense of providing genuine happiness to their child for whom they fear may not be here for their next Christmas. Pediatric oncology families do a very good job of putting on a strong front, while underneath, they just want to give their child everything, just in case. It’s a reality that must be processed, but is definitely made tolerable by the kindness of others. What you gave to me, was peace. Peace that I can continue to advocate for those that often don’t have the words to speak for themselves.
I have been in contact with families whose lives were greatly impacted by your kindness. The nurses, child advocates, and hosts on the oncology floor at Mott, have reached out to share stories of relief and love. And with each individual I speak with, I share the immeasurable generosity that came from you and your employees. In a time where most are struggling to make ends meet, you provided comfort and relief. I cannot express my utmost respect, heartfelt love, and absolute motivation you have given me to be a better person. Please know that not a single day goes by, that I don’t look back on Phoebe’s toy drive, and tear up with happiness for what you have all done.
I often follow the motto: “be the change you want to see in this world” and love when I find myself in the company of others, like you and your staff, being that change. I look forward to a time when we can come in thank you all in person. Phoebe has also mentioned having a desire to meet you. When you feel the time is right, please invite us to your office, so we can share our gratitude with you all in person.
Best wishes for a wonderful 2021.
On a beautiful July day, four of our advisors grabbed their clubs and met at the Flint Golf Club to support the local Boys & Girls Club of Flint. Our guys may not have hit any hole-in-ones on the course. . . but whenever our firm can support local charities. . . it's a hole-in-one for our team!
Our H & A Advanced Business Partners team was excited to offer our clients, their families, and our friends a premier screening of the Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker movie. We had a private theater reserved for our guests where we were happy to see every seat of that theater occupied! Along with a very comfortable reclining leather seat, there was a bucket of popcorn and a beverage cup waiting for each guest. This was a fun event that we thoroughly enjoyed sharing with those that were able to join us!
A big shout-out to Emagine Theaters for their beautiful facility and helpful staff!
We had our very own Chewbacca -a.k.a. Shannon- join us that evening!
All Star Wars fans get excited when they see this screen!
This Thanksgiving, our team was honored to sponsor three local families in need. With the donations from our team we were able to make three baskets filled with everything they need for a Thanksgiving dinner.
Our team took a day to step away from the office and step into a Habitat for Humanity house to volunteer. On Wednesday, October 9, the Holvick & Associates team partnered with the Genesee County Habitat for Humanity. Our team was able to volunteer doing various tasks such as priming, painting, taking up an old floor, and many other tasks that needed to be done. It was an honor to partner with such an amazing organization! We are already looking forward to our next Habitat Day!
Several of our team members at Holvick & Associates- Gary Holvick Jr, Charlie Goetz, Nick Shummer, & Malcolm Hendricks- hosted a wonderful Morning at the Movies for their clients on Saturday July 20, 2019. The live action Lion King movie was shown at the beautiful Emagine theater in Hartland, MI.
Our clients that attended were joined by their family members and/or friends. Along with the movie, our guests were able to enjoy free popcorn and a beverage while watching the show.
Thank you to all that were able to join us!
The sun was shining on the beautiful grounds of the Oakhurst Country Club as our guests enjoyed content-rich presentations along with a fantastic whiskey tasting provided by Coppercraft Whiskey out of Holland, MI.
Our presenters-Joseph Amaya, Matt Kives, & Lazar Asoofi shared on a wide range of topics that covered everything from employee retention to Google Analytics and social media marketing. Thank you to all of our presenters for sharing your knowledge. A generous thank you to Joseph Amaya from Mass Mutual and Matt Kives from American Century for sponsoring our workshop!
Coppercraft Whiskey presented three of their finest whiskies for all to enjoy. A special thank you to Kim Kurzawa for sharing her time and a bottle of whiskey that one of our lucky guests got to take home!
