Dear Holvick & Associates, 

I have written this “thank you” a million times in my mind.  However, I find myself in the act of writing out my gratitude on the eve of Phoebe‘s cancer-versary. Eight years to the day we were told “I’m sorry, your daughter has cancer”.  A day no parent can erase from their minds eye. While raw, dark, and still unbelievable, I find this pain greatly diminished by the love and light of those that surround our family.  And this light gets brighter every single year.  What your generosity and kindness displayed, was far more than the act of giving. It was providing families with hope, a sense of not being alone, and the greatest, a sense of providing genuine happiness to their child for whom they fear may not be here for their next Christmas.  Pediatric oncology families do a very good job of putting on a strong front, while underneath, they just want to give their child everything, just in case. It’s a reality that must be processed, but is definitely made tolerable by the kindness of others.  What you gave to me, was peace. Peace that I can continue to advocate for those that often don’t have the words to speak for themselves.

I have been in contact with families whose lives were greatly impacted by your kindness. The nurses, child advocates, and hosts on the oncology floor at Mott, have reached out to share stories of relief and love. And with each individual I speak with, I share the immeasurable generosity that came from you and your employees. In a time where most are struggling to make ends meet, you provided comfort and relief. I cannot express my utmost respect, heartfelt love, and absolute motivation you have given me to be a better person. Please know that not a single day goes by, that I don’t look back on Phoebe’s toy drive, and tear up with happiness for what you have all done. 

I often follow the motto: “be the change you want to see in this world” and love when I find myself in the company of others, like you and your staff, being that change. I look forward to a time when we can come in thank you all in person. Phoebe has also mentioned having a desire to meet you.  When you feel the time is right, please invite us to your office, so we can share our gratitude with you all in person.

Our H & A Advanced Business Partners team was excited to offer our clients, their families, and our friends a premier screening of the Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker movie. We had a private theater reserved for our guests where we were happy to see every seat of that theater occupied!  Along with a very comfortable reclining leather seat, there was a bucket of popcorn and a beverage cup waiting for each guest.  This was a fun event that we thoroughly enjoyed sharing with those that were able to join us! 

The sun was shining on the beautiful grounds of the Oakhurst Country Club as our guests enjoyed content-rich presentations along with a fantastic whiskey tasting provided by Coppercraft Whiskey out of Holland, MI.

Our presenters-Joseph Amaya, Matt Kives, & Lazar Asoofi shared on a wide range of topics that covered everything from employee retention to Google Analytics and social media marketing.
